On Saturday 28th May Saxon Square Shopping Centre teamed up with The Bay Tree to encourage local visitors to take part in the free event and find out more about the benefits of practising yoga. The class was taught by one of The Bay Tree’s resident yoga teachers.
Centre manager Bryan Taylor said: “This is the first time we have held a free outdoor yoga class at the Centre.
“We are always looking for interesting new events to hold and with summer just around the corner it seemed like the perfect time to do this.
“It is great to be working closely with one of our stores on this project, and we hope the event highlighted the diversity of stores we have here at Saxon Square Shopping Centre.”
Anna Hanson, owner of The Bay Tree, said “We are delighted to be working with Saxon Square Shopping Centre to provide an outdoor yoga event.
“Our health centre regularly offers yoga classes and it is great that we have the opportunity to offer these classes to a wider audience.
“Yoga is a fantastic form of exercise that helps encourage flexibility, tone and helps elevate symptoms of stress. It is a particularly good form of exercise for people that suffer joint pains or restricted maneuverability."
