New Holland & Barrett store brings healthy approach to Christchurch

A new store is set to improve the health of Christchurch as health-food retailer, Holland & Barrett, celebrates its arrival in the town’s Saxon Square Shopping Centre on Thursday 7th October 2010.

Stocking a wide range of vitamins, supplements, foods and sports nutrition products, the new Holland & Barrett store is the latest addition for the national chain, which has more than 590 stores across the UK and is Europe’s number one health supplement retailer. The store will sit alongside other top stores at Saxon Square including Argos, Boots, WHSmith, Robert Dyas and Costa.

Holland and Barrett has been providing the nation with health advice and products for over 80 years since it opened its first store in 1920. Now shoppers at Saxon Square can ask the store’s trained and knowledgeable staff for health and nutrition advice. With old favourites like Cod Liver Oil and Vitamin C available alongside the latest health foods for special diets including vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and diabetics, there is something for everyone.

Commenting on the new store, Holland & Barrett’s Phil Geary said: “We chose Saxon Square as a key destination for this operation because of the caliber of existing stores and the proximity to the town centre. We look forward to welcoming people and hope to become the destination of choice for high quality, healthy, natural products at excellent prices.”

Bryan Taylor, centre manager at Saxon Square Shopping Centre, said: “It’s great to be able to welcome another successful UK retailer to the centre. In today’s busy society it is important for us all to look after our health and wellbeing and the arrival of Holland and Barrett will offer our shoppers a wider variety of choice in this area. We will shortly be announcing more new retailers at the centre so watch this space for more exciting news!”
